Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 3: NSS unit of GGM Science College under the patronage of Principal Dr Ravender Tickoo and guidance of NSS PO Dr Deepali Mahajan today started a special winter camp for special children at MUSKAN, a charitable home for mentally challenged children. 'From Isolation to Inclusion' was the theme of this two-day long special winter camp. NSS volunteers celebrated New Year with kids cutting the cake, dancing and singing to the tunes of joy and happiness. Anchal, Sartik, Nancy, Sunandini, Farzana, Uzma, Harish, Jatin, Kartik, Kushant, Shubam, Sia, Vishal, Tushar and Abhishek played different games cricket, badminton, ludo, etc. with about 25 children including both girls and boys. The regular participation in physical activities like playing games increases competency in gross motor skills, helps to control obesity, improves self-esteem and social skills, encourages an active lifestyle, and maintain motivation in various areas of life. The Principal and staff of MUSKAN appreciated the efforts of NSS GGM Science College and its PO. The Disability Inclusion allows accessibility so that everyone can fully participate in society without barriers to achieve their goals, desires to thrive in life. All covid protocols were followed. |
