NYK Rajouri organizes programmes on National Youth Day | | | Early Times Report RAJOURI, Jan 13: Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) Rajouri in collaboration with "Amar Youth Club" and Young India Youth Club organized national youth day at Panchayat Ghar Hathal-A in block Sunderbani. Arun Kumar Sharma (BDC) graced the occasion as chief guest while as Dr. Rakesh Verma (Forest Range Officer) remained as guest of honour. Resource persons present were Arun Kumar Sharma (Horticulture officer Sunderbani), Kiran Bala (Social Welfare Department), Ayodhya Nath Raina (Rural Development Department), Monika Sharma (Education department). Vishaw Kumar Sharma (Naib Sarpanch), Dev Raj Sharma (social activist) were also present. The BDC mentioned about the teachings of Swami Vivekananda and said that every year National Youth Day is celebrated to celebrate the life of Swami Vivekananda and his teachings. He highlighted the need to make the villages' plastic free and the challenges of open defecation. The Forest Range Officer spoke on the issue of climate change, need of sanitation and community actions for green innovations. A similar programme was organized by NYK Rajouri in collaboration with the army at Border Village Kalal of Block Seri. The program witnessed the participation of rural boys and girls. A special lecture was delivered on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda. |
