Talab Tillo Traders Association celebrates Lohri festival with great enthusiasm

JAMMU, Jan 13: Talab Tillo Traders Association celebrated Lohri festival with great enthusiasm here today. The association members extended Lohri greetings to the while mankind while praying for the good fortune, bumper harvests and peace in the Universe. They also offered traditional nuts and sweets to all those assembled on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajan Gupta, Association President and Rajesh uppal, Ayodhya Gupta and Ramesh Chander said that celebration of Lohri festival like other festivals not only promotes the rich cultural heritage of Jammu but also ensures passing it on to future generations. He said that the festival depicts a profound love of nature, plentiful reap and the humans and also marks the realm of activeness among all living creatures.
Rajan said that the auspicious event of Lohri corresponds with the beginning of 'Magh' month, which initiates only a day after Lohri indicating the finish of cruel winter, he added and extended the message of Universal Peace and Love to all. Rajan said that it is always pleasurable to celebrate the Lohri festival as this occasion is an indication of change of weather and the coming of good days. Moreover, this festival is an inseparable part of the rich cultural heritage of Jammu which we celebrate every year with great enthusiasm and gaiety. He said that with active participation in these festivals people remain in touch with their culture and heritage.
