| WCMP celebrates lohri with Transgender community | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 13: Today Lohri festival was celebrated by Chairperson WCMP Sandhya Gupta and the artist people of the duggar community with the people of the transgender community.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairperson Sandhya Gupta said that today on the occasion of Lohri festival, we are celebrating Lohri with the people of Transgender community of Jammu.
She further said that usually on the day of lohri people of the transgender community come to collect lohri and shower their blessings on the people but today with the initiative of WCMP today the people of Transgender community instead of taking lohri are giving lohri to the other people.
She said further said that it is a step in further encouraging equality and respect among all the communities of the society. |
