Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 13: The Dogra Sadar Sabha (DSS) celebrated Lohri at the DSS Bhawan, Dogra Hall with full gaiety and spirit of traditional inter-communal brotherhood for which the Dogras and their Dogriyat is known. Speaking on the occasion, the President DSS and former minister Th. Gulchain Singh Charak narrated the story of the famous folk lore of "Dulla Bhatti" as to how this brave man from Muslim community saved the honour of a Hindu girl and cared for her as his own daughter as a reminder to the young generations, in a climate where the nation is struggling with the menace of atrocities on women and even minor girls by anti-social criminals. He said that it is the tradition of Dogra land that the people of all religions, castes and creed live together with trust, mutual respect and as guardian for others. Sikhs, Muslims and Christian members also joined the celebration around the Bonfire and shared traditional 'Moongfali & Rewari'. All the members jointly resolved to uphold the Dulla Bhatti example and be vigilant for protection of women folk and girls in the society as all daughters are common to all "Dheeyan Sab Diyan Sanjiyan" and impressed upon all to stay vigilant of any divisive forces who may try to disturb our communal harmony and peace, so dearly preserved by Dogriyat. Prominent among those who attended the Lohri celebration include Prem Sagar Gupta, Col. Karan Singh, Lt. Gen. Rakesh Sharma, AVSM, SM, Brig M S Jamwal, Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, Janak Khajuria, Madan Rangila, Kulbir Singh, Ch.
