| GDC Vijaypur organizes poster making competition on "National Youth Day" | | | Early Times Report
VIJAYPUR, Jan 13: To commemorate the National Youth Day and in continuation to the sequel of events organized under the banner of "Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav", NSS unit (KHIDMAT) of GDC Vijaypur organized a poster making competition with the aim to propagate the concept of national integration, spirit of communal harmony and brotherhood, courage and spirit of adventure amongst the youth. Students from various institutions across the JK UT participated with great zeal, enthusiasm and fervor; relishing the competition, vital information dissipated and enriching ideas shared and put forth.
The first position was shared by Diksha Choudhary of GCW Gandhinagar, Jammu and Kavya Charak of GDC Vijaypur; second position was shared by Ariba Bano of GCW Parade, Jammu and Pooja Devi of GDC Vijaypur while the third position was shared by Tania Sharma, Sheetal and Simran Kour of GDC Vijaypur. Consolation prizes were given to Sonia Sharma, Manvir Kour and Jyoti Janjua of GDC Vijaypur and Priya Kumari of GCW Parade.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Sangeeta Sudan, Principal of the College. She apprised the students that youth constitute the foundation of a country and are a great asset to any Nation as they are full of energy, enthusiasm, creative and innovative ideas. If their energy is channelized in the right direction then they can drive the country on the path of progress. The event was coordinated by Dr. Sunil Kumar Mangoch (NSS PO) and adjudicated by Dr. Shittal Sharma and Prof. Anil Bhagat. E-certificates were awarded to all the winners. |
