RPF's ''Madadgar'' comes to rescue of south Kashmir lady | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Jan 13: The Central Reserve Police Force's ''Madadgar'' has come to the rescue of a 47-year-old woman from south Kashmir, officials said here on Thursday. CRPFs 'Madadgar'' (helpful) helpline received a call on January 25, informing them that Shabeena (name changed) is suffering from a spinal cord ailment and requires immediate shifting to Chandigarh. Her family was not having resources for the shifting. "She was suffering from spinal cord ailment for the past seven months now, rendering her completely disabled. She had developed severe bedsores and was starting to contract infection because of it. She required immediate shifting to a Rehab in Chandigarh, but her family didn't have enough resources for the same," Gul Junaid Khan, in-charge of CRPF's ''Madadgar'' cell said. "CRPF's Madadgaar came to help and arranged a critical care ambulance for her and the lady reached Chandigarh on January 1," he said. The CRPFs Madadgaar 24x7 telephone Helpline- 14411 was launched in June 2017 and it has extended help to a lot of Kashmiris across the country. "Since its inception in 2017, the helpline has handled more than eight lakh calls and provided various kinds of assistance in more than 37000 cases, where any assistance was sought by the caller," Gul said. |
