VIJAYPUR, Jan 13: The festival of Lohri was celebrated with great pomp in the village of Panchayat Gurwal. This programme took place under the supervision of Sarpanch Mohan Lal Sharma. Children went from house to house asking for Lohri and enjoyed peanuts, Gajjak, Rabri.
After sunset, Lohri started burning gradually. On the beats of songs, music, drums and drums, people performed Bhangra fiercely.
The Sarpanch said that the way we are forgetting our festivals, we are forgetting the culture, we should celebrate every festival together so that our culture remains alive. |
