JAMMU, Jan 19: Team Mask Force chairman Vijay Sharma in a statement posed a question to Union Government on the "Holocaust Day" across the nation on Wednesday," As the exiled Kashmiri Pandit community over thirty years' longing of returning to their homes and hearth in the valley still continues to be a distant dream as the chances of creating a conducive environment there seems to have become bleak," "will the Kashmiriyat be restored " under the present state of affairs in the JKUT."
While the memories of tragic displacement continue to haunt the migrants round the clock, the Holocaust Day especially reminds about the unfortunate circumstances in Kashmir that had forced the migration of Kashmiri Pandit community, members of Sikh community and some Muslims over 30 yrs ago. The Governments both in centre/JKUT must ensure the safe return of the minisuscule displaced Kashmiri Pandit community back to their homes after being in exile for over three decades shall have a huge bearing not only on the J&K government but the whole nation because if the nation fails to make the return a reality then undoubtedly India will be labeled as a failed democracy at least viz a viz this minisuscule displaced community, added Sharma chairman TMF. |
