| Police release photographs of three wanted militants | | |

Srinagar, Jan 21: J&K Police on Friday released pictures of three wanted local militants who are believed to be operating in Srinagar and its outskirts.
Police has also announced a reward for anyone providing information about the trio.
The posters of the three wanted militants including one from Srinagar were pasted on walls in various parts of the city.
The three include Basit Ahmad Dar alias Kamran, resident of Redwani Payeen Kulgam; Arif Ahmad Hazar alias Rehan Bahi of Wagam Pulwama and Momin Gulzar Amir alias Momin, of Firdous Colony Ali Jan Road Eidgah Srinagar.
The J&K Police have released several phone numbers for providing information on the wanted militants.
Since 2021, militants have shifted focus to Srinagar and the district has witnessed several encounters and also targeted killings. This month a top Lashkar-e-Toiba militant was killed along with a suspected Pakistani in two back to back encounters in the outskirts of Srinagar. |
