Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 4: On the occasion of the celebration of "World Cancer Day 2022", as a part of "Azadi Ka Amrut Mahautsav (Celebration of 75th Independence day), events like Poster making and videos were prepared by NCC Senior Wing Cadets of GGM Science College, Jammu on the 2022 theme i.e. "Close the Care Gap", under the guidance of worthy principal, Dr. Ravender Tickoo and supervision of Associate NCC Officer Dr. (Capt.) Anjana Sharma. This day is celebrated to make people aware that every single one of us has the ability to make a difference, large or small, and that together we can make real progress in reducing the global impact of cancer. With the help of posters and speeches, the NCC SW cadets prayed for those needing care and compassion in these difficult circumstances. 'Close the Care Gap' campaign is all about understanding and recognizing the inequities in cancer care around the globe. It's about having an open mind, challenging assumptions and looking at the hard facts. With corona pandemic raging on nowadays, the cadets focused on how we can begin to imagine a better way of doing things and to build a fairer vision of the future-a future where people live healthier lives and have better access to health and cancer services, no matter where they are born, grow, age, work or live with the help of their posters and speeches. |
