Saujanpur residents in Reasi demand road network; pitch for better health facilities | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 4: The residents of Saujanpur in Reasi have raised a banner of revolt against the local politicians since the village has not been connected with the road network even though the country attained freedom some 75 years ago. The residents say that whenever a person falls sick in the village they have to put the patient on a cot and take him to the nearest health institution. They said that since there are no roads in the village no transporter is willing to drive his school to the village. The residents said that despite raising the issue at multiple times with the concerned authorities no step whatsoever has been taken to develop roads in the village. They said the politicians visit the village at the time of election so as to garner votes from the people and vanish as soon as the elections are over. The residents said that the healthcare is also in shambles in the village and mere statements about achievements in this sector are emanating from the offices of the people at helm in the district. They demanded that the health infrastructure needs to be upgraded in the district should that the common masses especially the poor are not pushed to the wall. |
