Congress leader Suresh Dogra calls on Secy Tourism | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 8: Chairman OBC Deptt J&K Pradesh Congress Committee, Adv. Suresh Kumar Dogra met with Secretary Tourism J&K, Samad Hafiz and presented a memorandum comprising issues related to tourism. During the meeting, Congress leader emphasized on the tourist destinations which are being ignored by the govt and also was not maintained properly due to ongoing Covid-19 pandemic situation, Suresh Dogra said that maximum economy of the Jammu and Kashmir is generated by tourism, so it must be focused on priority. Dogra further added that the ongoing development work of Raghunath Bazaar as a heritage destination is still lingering on and not being paid attention, likewise the sound and light work of Bagh-e- Bahu is also have been stopped. He said that the J&K is a paradise on the earth, so its beautification and glory must not be diminished. Dogra said that new tourist destinations must be spotted and developed in a modern way which will help to bring J&K as a top tourist destination in the world. After a healthy discussion, Secretary Tourism Hafiz assured Dogra that new spots and tourist destinations are being tapped besides developing the places which are already on the map. He said that the Lieutenant Governor and the entire UT administration are focused on boosting tourism in J&K. |
