| Bureaucrats not paying much attention towards development: BJP Sarpanch | | Says PRI institutions powerless | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 8: BJP Sarpanch from South Kashmir’s Tral, Pilu Pandita, on Tuesday said that bureaucrats are not paying much attention towards the development works in her area.
Talking to Early Times Pandita said, “PRI institutes have not been upgraded till date. The promises that were made to empower grass root institutions have not been fulfilled.
These are powerless institutions.”
She said, “The funds that were sanctioned by the 14th FC are all set to lapse as the last date for utilizing these is March 31, 2022. We had forwarded the proposals but till date no approval has been received.”
Pandita said that the Block Development Officer (BDO) in their area has been assigned to other additional charges. “We can’t reach him when it’s required.”
She said, “Bureaucrats are working according to their whims and fancies as they are not accountable to anyone.
Our leaders are aware about the ground situation as we keep on briefing them.” |
