| Will contest from both Akhnoor Chhamb: Tara Chand | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 8: Several delegations of Akhnoor and Chhamb Assembly Constituency on Monday met former Deputy Chief Minister of J&K Tara Chand and termed the delimitation done by the Delimitation Commission as a betrayal with the people of the region.
In the delegation, the workers of Block Mera Mandarian, Chowki Choura, Pargwal, Khadah Bali and Khour took a dig at the government and said that the report has been prepared by the Commission without taking the opinion of the people, which will not be tolerated at any cost. Congress workers of both the Assembly segments, Akhnoor and Chhamb, appealed to the former Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand to contest the elections as a Congress candidate from both the Assembly constituencies, only then the victory of the Congress in both the areas would be decided.
After listening to the suggestion of all people and workers, senior Congress leader and Former Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand announced that he will contest from both Akhnoor and Chaamb assemblies and in a few days he will start his public relation campaign from Akhnoor assembly. |
