RAMNAGAR, Feb 8: An online lecture on the topic "Intellectual Property Rights" was organized by the Department of Political Science, GDC Ramnagar today under the guidance of the Principal of the College, Dr. Udhey Bhanu.
Prof. Romesh Sharma, Department of Economics, GDC Boys Udhampur, was the Resource Person on the occasion. He explained in detail about the Intellectual Property Rights and their importance. He particularly exhorted upon the different types of Intellectual Property Rights and Geographical Indications tag. He also focused that no person can use the work of the original author without his permission failing of which could be resulted into some fine and imprisonment.
While speaking on the occasion, Principal of the college, Dr. Udhey Bhanu focused on the importance of Intellectual Property Rights that protects the creations/inventions of the intellectual activities in the industrial, scientific, and copyright fields. The whole event was organised by Prof. Swarna Devi, HOD Political Science, GDC Ramnagar. Almost 60 students attended the lecture. Prof. Suresh Dogra delivered the vote of thanks.
