Early Times Report RAMNAGAR, Feb 10: Govt Degree College (GDC) Ramnagar conducted a lecture on the topic "Chemistry Options for Chemistry Aspirants" under the patronage of Dr Udhey Bhanu, Principal GDC Ramnagar today. The lecture was organized by the Department of Chemistry, GDC Ramnagar. Dr Amit Bali M.Sc (Chemistry), NET, GATE qualified and PhD from IISc Bangalore presently working as Assistant Professor at GDC Reasi, was the resource person. The programme started with the welcome note by Prof Ritika Mahajan, HOD Chemistry GDC Ramnagar who presented the speaker to the audience. Then, the resource person in detail explained the various career options which the students can avail by taking Chemistry as main subject. He elaborated the career options like Physical Chemist, Inorganic Chemist, Organic Chemist, Chemical Engineers, Industrial Chemists, Pharmacist, Patent Officers and Geochemists along with their role and proposed work. Dr Bali also suggested the students various types of competitive examinations which students can opt after graduation like JAM, NET, GATE etc. After the lecture the students were involved in question answer session with the resource person also. Principal of the college, Dr Udhey Bhanu lauded the efforts of Department of Chemistry and also thanked the resource person for the informative lecture. A formal vote of thanks was presented by Diksha Sharma, Teaching Assistant at GDC Ramnagar.
