NEW DELHI, Feb 19: India star defender and drag flicker Harmanpreet Singh on Saturday said it was the Covid-19 lockdownthat helped the team prepare for the Olympics last year.
Hamanpreet's clutch performances for the team not only played a vital role in ensuring India's bronze at the Tokyo Olympics, but also saw the 26-year-old earn the title of FIH Men's Player of the Year 2021 award.
In the Hockey India podcast 'Hockey Te Charcha', Harmanpreet said, "Our team spent a lot of time together in lockdown last year before the Olympics.
