Kishtwar, Mar 30: Taking strong note of reports of corruption, Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Thathri was today placed under suspension and was attached in the office of Chief Education Officer Udhampur till pending inquiry. As per the details available with Early Times, on the bases of the complaint against Mir Ali, I/c Zonal Education Officer, Thathri endorsed vide letter No.DSEJ/MW/V-356/46568-70 dated 12.02.2022 from Director School Education, Jammu, the ZEO Thathri was place under suspension by the order of Principal Secretary to Government, School Education Department vide Government Order No.254 -Edu of 2022, endorsement No.Edu-GEN/180/2022-01, Dated: 30.03.2022 “Pending enquiry into the conduct, Mr. Mir Ali. I/C Zonal Education Officer Thathri is placed under suspension with immediate effect in pursuance of Rule 31 of Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956. The said officer is attached to the office of Chief Education Officer, Udhampur” read the suspension order. The order further stated that Director School Education, Jammu shall nominate the officer to conduct the enquiry within one month. Besides, it was also ordered that in case of fraud and embezzlement, Chief Education Officer, Doda will file an FIR in Police Station Thathri immediately. Director School Education, Jammu has also been request to initiate Departmental proceedings for recovery of rent accrued over 05 years on the school accommodation from the officer as per market rates. Besides, the amount of Rs. 1,50,000/- drawn illegally shall also be recovered from the Labour supplier and the staff who were involved in the matter if proved in enquiry |
