Citizens Forum requests CS to appoint Nodal Officer to look into bank grievances | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 31: Citizens Forum President R K Chadha in response to Chief Secretary A K Mehta's plea to bankers of Jammu to ramp up lending said it is a futile exercise as bankers don't bother about anybody unless some harsh measures are adopted. Chadha said that they have been writing to Chief Secretary for the last two years but there has been neither any reply nor any action. Whereas our loan accounts are absolutely standard still Punjab National Bank Jammu never gave us Covid-19 loan for successive two resolution years during lock down period which was guaranteed by central government throughout the country to help units for their closed status because we did not pay underhand money. "We request to Chief Secretary to appoint a nodal officer for bank grievances but there is nobody to listen. The proposal to sanction loans online will be a joke because bank managers don't respond to the phone calls what to talk of online sanctions. There are guidelines by RBI to provide rehabilitation loan for closed units during long time lock downs but no bank bothers and come out with irrelevant fake CIBIL or other rules," said Chadha. |
