Jammu to soon emerge as tourist destination: Rekha Mahajan | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 31: Jammu and Kashmir BJP Secretary, Rekha Mahajan has said that the reports that the government has directed the Tourism Department to submit specific plan within one month for promotion of 225 tourist destinations, heritage and religious sites, speaks loud and clear about the concern of the government towards development of the tourism related spots and destinations in Jammu & Kashmir. In a statement Rekha said that this will obviously go a long way in bringing the less known or unreached places in scene, which has the potential to attract tourists in large numbers and serve to promote the local business, boost economy of the area and generate employment. She said that further instructing the tourism department to promote 75 off beat trekking routes will attract adventure loving tourists to this UT. |
