| Charge-sheet filed against 2 for duping Haj pilgrims | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Mar 31: Crime Branch Kashmir (CBK) on Thursday filed a charge sheet against two persons in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Srinagar for allegedly duping and cheating Haj aspirants. A statement of the CBK said the charge sheet was filed against Shoiab Asharaf a resident of Karan Nagar Srinagar and Ashiq Hussain of Gulab Bagh, the proprietors of A&Y Tour and Travels for duping, cheating Haj aspirants to the tune of Rs 8 lakh on the pretext of organizing Haj pilgrimage. The CBK said following a written complaint from one Nazir Ahmad Dar the case was registered. The CBK probe revealed accused Shoiab Khan is running Tour & Travel companies under the name and style 'EDRAAL Tour & Travels' and 'A&Y' at Nigeen and Kangan respectively, for Haj and Umrah purposes in partnership with another accused identified as Ashiq Hussain Mir. After receiving the Rs 8 lakh amount the accused shut down their Tour and Travel office and were untraceable. |
