| Police nab drug peddler with 20 gms narcotics | | |  Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, May 9: Udhampur Police while continuing its "War on Drugs" putting concrete efforts to eradicate the drugs menace from the society and in consequence District Police Udhampur today recovered approximately 20 grams of heroin like narcotics in the jurisdictional area of PS Udhampur and one accused was arrested in this connection.
On the overall directions of SSP Udhampur, Dr. Vinod Kumar, Police team led by Insp. Chaman Gorkha SHO PS Udhampur under the supervision of Addl. SP Udhampur Anwaar Ul Haq and DySP Headquarters Udhampur Sahil Mahajan during routine naka/checking duty on circular road near Main Bazaar Udhampur noticed the movement of one suspicious person namely Abdul Yaqoob S/o Dulla R/o Sadhote, Udhampur who was directed to stop for checking.On Physical search, approximately 20 grams of heroin (chitta) like narcotics was recovered from his illegal possession. Meanwhile all the recovered narcotics substance was seized and 1 accused was arrested.
On this a case vide FIR No. 202/2022 U/S 8/21/22/ NDPS Act stands registered at PS Udhampur and further investigation was set into probe. |
