Murder case solved; two accused arrested within 24 hours: Police | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 17: On 14th of May an information received at Police Post Dhansal that one dead body was found at last ghalla Dhanour area of tehsil Arnas. During further enquiry the deceased is identified as Reyaz Ahmed Wani S/O Ghulam Hassan Wani R/O Banihal who was working as mechanical operator at Railway site of VCCL Company Dugga and who was found missing from the site since evening of 12th of May and Police was already in search of him. During enquiry it came to notice that Reyaz is murdered by someone. In this regard case FIR no 75/2022 U/S 302/34 IPC is registered at Police Station Arnas and investigation set in. Police team led by alongwith FSL unit & crime photographer of Reasi Police reached at the Scene of Crime after tracking uphill more than two hours. Police team took dead body in the custody, collected all the circumstances evidences regarding case from scene of crime, dead body was shifted to District Hospital Reasi for postmortem. After completing all legal procedures, dead body was handed over to legal heirs for last rights. During further interrogation it came to notice that Reyaz is murdered by accused Mohd Arif S/O Ab. Ghani R/O Jamlan Tehsil Mahore District Reasi and Shagufta D/O Firoz Din R/O Dhanour Tehsil Arnas Disrtrict Reasi who fled away from the spot after commission of crime. Amit Gupta JKPS Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi sensing the gravity of crime, constituted special teams to apprehend the absconding criminal. Simultaneous raids were conducted in Bhomag, and Shajroo-Mahore, etc After hectic efforts team of Reasi Police succeeded in nabbing accused from Dhansal Area of District Reasi. Police is working on the motive behind murder of Reyaz Wani. More arrests in the case cannot be ruled out. SSP expressed that such barbaric act done by Criminals is rarest of the rare, Such Criminals a black spot on our social fabric.He further stressed that investigation shall incorporate each and every evidence to ensure justice is done in this heinous act at an earliest. |
