Basic Health Employees Association Jammu extends support to strike of May 24 | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 21: Jammu & Kashmir Basic Health Employees Association, Jammu held urgent meeting under the Presidentship of Pawan Singh Jamwal President JKBHEA to discuss long pending demands and decided to support strike on May 24 from 10 AM to 1 PM. The call for the strike has been given by Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation, Jammu During the meeting JKBHEA President demanded departmental promotion committee (promotions) of all categories in the health department. They alleged that the administrative department of health & family welfare has failed to frame rules of promotions and conduct DPC, which has been pending for the last four years. Several higher grade posts have been lying vacant in the department for many years .So many health employees have been retired without getting their promotion benefits. Patient also suffered due to shortage of staff in health institutions. They also alleged that the administration failed to resolve the permanent salary issue of Female Multipurpose Workers and other staff getting salaries under Head -2211 Family Welfare. The salary of FMPH Workers and other staff has been pending for the last five months, and the employees and their families have been facing hardship and are on the verge of starvation, and many are not getting their treatment due to not being the released of their salary. |
