Early Times Report JAMMU, May 21: Live For Others-Being Helpful Foundation supported by Teacher Trainee of Bharatiya College of Education organised a poster making competition followed by awareness rally at Government Girls School, Garhi, Udhampur under the aegis of Ministry of Education, on the theme 'Elimination of Single Use Plastics & Plastic Free India ', which envisions the phasing out of single use plastics (SUP) to save our environment. The campaign has been launched by NCERT. The competition aims to explore students' creative instincts and encourage students to express their ideas about the ways to eliminate single use plastics. This competition was inaugurated by Rashmi (teacher in-charge) with special guests being Santosh (in-charge Government Girls High School Garhi). The posters that students made was covering different areas such as elimination of single-use plastics in households, public places such as open markets, shopping malls, parks, protected areas, streets, etc., educational institutions such as schools, colleges, etc. Discussing the artworks of students, Vivek Parihar, CEO/FOUNDER of LFO-BH said that children are the eyes of our future and we need to provide them a green and safe platform. |
