ADGP Armed visits DPL Anantnag, conducts darbar of manpower of IRP-11th BN

SRINAGAR, May 26: S J M Gillani, ADGP Armed today visited DPL Anantnag and conducted darbar of manpower of IRP-11th battalion to take stock of the welfare and functioning of the manpower and issuing necessary instructions for preparations of manpower for forthcoming SANJAY duties. The ADGP congratulated the unit for performing their assigned duties professionally in their jurisdictions. The ADGP issued necessary instructions/guidelines to the commandants for readying their manpower for L&O and other sensitive duties during the forthcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra. He directed the commandants to keep the requisitioned manpower ready in all respects and ensure that necessary L&O maintenance and soft skill training, as already directed, is imparted to all police personnel earmarked for SANJAY duty. During darbar a number of officers/ jawans put-forth their personal/collective grievances. The ADGP listened to the grievances of officials patiently and assured them that their genuine grievances will be redressed on merits. The ADGP also interacted with the officers and jawans in a cordial atmosphere to boost their moral. He advised them to take care of their health by doing regular exercise, yoga, playing games and taking healthy and hygienic diet. While responding to the grievances of the Jawans related to their transfer on tenure basis, the ADGP Armed informed the Jawans that transfer on account of tenure basis shall be executed after culmination of Shri Amar Nath Ji Annual Yatra-2022 and for that he advised the Jawans to have patience till culmination of SANJAY-2022. However, the transfers on account of medical conditions/ health grounds or any other genuine problems including retirements within two years shall also be given due consideration. Earlier, Commandant IRP-11th battalion Sandeep Mehta in his welcome address expressed his gratitude to the ADGP for visiting the battalion. He apprised the ADGP about the manpower and functioning affairs of the unit in detail.
