3 teachers for 180 students at High School Chanjer | | | Asif Iqbal Naik Early Times Report
Kishtwar, May 26: Mocking at the education department, the students of High School Chanjer in remote Marwah area of Kishtwar District in Jammu and Kashmir held a massive protest against non availability of staff at the school. As per the details available with Early Times, against student strength of 180, only three teachers viz Two grade II & One ReT are posted in the school while the post of the Headmaster, 4 post of General Line Teachers are lying vacant in the school which is being run by 3 ReTs and 3 class IV employees. The locals inform the Early Times that the agitating students are demanding posting of staff in the school including science teachers, laboratory bearer and other staff that can teach the students in this school. “We have approach authorities several times- but no one listen to us- forcing the students to choose agitating path” said local Congress leader Ghulam Mohammad added that since the opening of the schools post COVID 19, the education department fail to fill the vacant posts while at the same time the department also fail to provide staff under rationalisation to High School Chanjer. The angry students said that in case the govt fail to fill all the vacant posts in the school, they will intensify their protest till the demands will be fulfilled. |
