Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 26: Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh Jammu Kashmir while addressing the press conference Harbans Choudhary Working President Ashok Choudhary Sangathan Mantri Neelam Sharma General Secreyary BMS has alleged that LG administration totally failed to full fill its legitimate responsibilities toward the working class and has alleged that minimum wages has not been revised under minimum wages Act even five year time has been lapsed moreover recommendations given by the Committee constituted by the Govt in 2016 for Variable Dearness allowance has not been implemented so for despite making too many representations in this regard has been given by the BMS, there are grave violations of contract labour act as very less workers are shown under ESI and PF illegal deductions are being made by the employers and labour is taken from open market on daily cash payment and not maintain their any record just to save ESI and PF.
That further the PF amount laying with JKEPFO is not transferred properly to Central EPFO as their amount is not shown as per deductions and there is no any transparency and subscribers has no access.
The working of JKBOCWWB is at grinding halt from the last three years as three years ago board had a kitty of 250 crores and now JKBOCWWB is sitting on kitty of 500 crores thousands of cases pertaining to lower education assistances amounting from 2500 to 10000/- are laying pending for sanction in district Jammu for the period 2019- 20 2020-21 2021-22. Further no any new registration of workers is being done and un necessary hindrances are being created. The software services are not being hired from NIC and has hired from a private party reasons best known to them even other national banks accounts are not accepted except J&K Bank despite making repeated representations.
The casual attitude of the Govt is reflected because ALC’s of District Jammu, Samba and Ramban were transferred one month ago but no any replacement has been provided and poor workers are sufferings.
There is huge exploitations of workers working in the prestigious projects for constructions of Road tunnels and power projects no safety standards are being maintained nor wages are being paid under law and there is unrest is going on in power projects no any meeting of any statuary boards like ESI, PF, or unorganised workers welfare Board has been called by the govt from the last more than three years and contract labour Advisory Board meeting has not been called from the last 15 years. Said in a press release.
