Early Times Report

JAMMU, May 30: J&K Pradesh Youth Congress today staged strong protest against the brutal assassination of famous Punjab singer and party leader, Sidhu Moosewala, terming it as a political murder.
Led by Uday Chib, President J&K PYC, the party activists assembled infront of Aam Aadmi Party Head Office in Jammu and raised slogans against the Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann.
Talking to reporters, Uday Chib condemned the brutal assassination of Sidhu Moosewala, saying it is a political murder conceived and executed under a proper conspiracy.
He held the Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann wholly and solely responsible for his murder.
Uday Chib said it was just two days ago that Moosewala’s security had been withdrawn by the Punjab government, without assessing his threat perception.
“Moosewala was not only a political leader, he was an internationally acclaimed singer who should have been provided extra security,” he said, while asserting that there was a deep-rooted conspiracy behind his murder.
Chib said, when about six months ago, Moosewala was provided security by the Punjab government, it was after specific intelligence inputs.
He said the AAP Government of Punjab should stop tinkering with security of individuals to gain cheap publicity on social media. What was the point of putting the list on social media after withdrawal of their security, he asked?
He said withdrawing security of protected persons was a political stunt and the government should not go the town revealing name of the leaders who security had been withdrawn. The outcome is before everyone, he added.
Chib asserted that instead of providing 80 security personnel to Arvind Kejriwal, 45 to Raghav Chadha, 20 to his sister and 15 to his mother. Bhagwant Mann should focus on managing the law and order of Punjab, he added.
Uday Chib demanded that the Chief Minister Mann should immediately resign on moral ground and the DGP Punjab and the SSP Mansa should be put behind the bars for being part of the conspiracy. He asserted that there is no time for political point scoring but someone must take responsibility for the situation.
Among those who joined the protest include Jatinder Chib Block President Congress, Ricky Dalotra Vice President JKPYC, Sahil Singh Langeh Gen Secretary Jkpyc, Latish Sharma , Divyansh Singh Jamwal, Manpreet Singh Secretaries JKPYC, Happy Randhawa DYC President, Sandeep Sharma,Jahzaib Sarewal, Deepanshu Bhattand Manav Choudhary Spokesperson Jkpyc, Gurpreet Singh and Surinder Kumar DCC Gen Secretary Jammu , Ranjoot Singh Chairman Sports Cell JKPYC, Gagan Panch, Anirudh Sawhney, Sunny Jatt and Karanjoot Singh AYC Presidents.
