6/1/2022 10:52:26 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 1: The District Coordination Committee for Jammu (Urban) of National Conference Central Zone today held a meeting to discuss various burning issues faced by general public.
Babu Rampaul, former minister and Zonal President JKNC presided over the meeting. Dr. Vikas Sharma, Coordinator Jammu District Urban, organized the meeting. Chander Mohan Sharma District President Jammu (Urban), Rahul Mahajan, Tarsem Kullar, Adv Aslam Choudhary, Sat Paul, Ashok Tyagi, Naveed Raja, and Narinder Bhagat attended the meeting.
During meeting Babu Rampal deliberated in detail the various aspects imperative to strengthen the party at the grass root level. He stressed upon the need to frame 11 members committee in each ward as also Block Committees in Urban areas for further widening the base of National Conference.
He opined emphasising on the office bearers to disseminate the information amongst general masses about the good work and achievements made by National Conference Party in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that National Conference is party of masses and hence all the office bearers and party workers must join hands together to raise the voice of public and their day to day issues for appropriate redressal.
He urged the LG Administration to come out of hibernation and basic amenities like power supply and drinking water be made available to public, who are clamoring day in and day out for the same during scorching hot weather. Former Minister flayed the Govt for its hallow promises to bring "Achhe Din" (good days) as mere basic facilities like water and power are still not fully available as per the requirement of the public.
Castigating the Smart City high profile move initiated by the Government with big bang and drum beating, he expressed his dismay over bad conditions of many roads and streets in the urban and rural areas, he rued, adding that electric smart meters installed for the consumers are getting burnt on poles as setting aside the quality parameters, lowest quality so called Smart Meters have been installed by the PDD just to befool the public and, unfortunately, no one from the Govt side is ready take remedial measures to make the power supply system amply useful and public friendly.
In the meeting it was unanimously decided that party public meetings shall be organised in Block levels with full zeal and zest involving party workers on regular basis.
