Early Times Report JAMMU, June 1: Prof. J.P. Sharma Vice Chancellor, Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences & Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J) today flagged off Educational Tour of B. Tech. Biotechnology final year students in presence of Prof. Jyoti Kachroo, Dean, Faculty of Agriculture and Prof. R.K. Salgotra, Coordinator, School of Biotechnology. Prof. Sharma blessed the students and wished them safe and fruitful journey. SKUAST-J authorities have permitted the students to visit Institute of Himalayan Biotechnology (IHBT-CSIR) and CSK HPKV, Palampur; Central Potato Research Institute (CPRI-ICAR), Shimla; Dr. YS Parmar University of Horticulture & Forestry, Solan; College of Biotechnology, Hamirpur; Central Research Institute, Kasuli; Institute of Microbial Biotechnology (IMTECH-CSIR), Chandigarh; National Institute of Agriculture Biotechnology (NABI-DBT), Mohali and Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana. The students will have opportunity to get exposure to the state of the art laboratories of these institutes and it will help them in exploring career opportunities in these esteemed institutes of national and international repute. Faculty members of School of Biotechnology were also present on the occasion. |
