Government Pharmacists Association, Jammu asks health employees to observe strike on June 6 | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 1: Jammu & Kashmir Government Pharmacists Association, Jammu organized a press conference under the president ship of Kamal Jit Sawhney, General Secretary JKGPA to highlight the burning long pending demands of health employees. The main demands highlighted were Departmental Promotion Committee (promotions) of all categories in the health department pending from the last four years. Sawhney said that many health employees have been retired without getting the benefits of promotion. He said that several posts are lying vacant in the health department. “Service subordinate recruitment rules SRO-20 file was lying pending in GAD for the last four months for final approval. Government of Jammu & Kashmir also failed to resolve the salary problems of Female Multi-Purpose Health Workers and other staff getting salaries under Head -2211 Family Welfare. The wages of FMPHWs have been pending for the last five months,” said Sawhney. He said that registration of all the leftover government pharmacists should be done at the earliest. He demanded restoration of old pension scheme for the employees of Jammu & Kashmir on the analogy of neighbouring state like Rajasthan. He appealed to all health employees of Jammu division to participate in strike on June 6. |
