Poonch, June 7: Although the Central Government is making all possible efforts to provide water drinking facilities to every household in the country, The Jal Shakti Department is making tall claims just for the sake of publicity.
More than 80% of consumers are facing a water crisis in Poonch. Nowadays, people are facing shortage of drinking water in drought-stricken areas. The springs in hilly areas have drained, pipe lines have been damaged. The Water Supply Schemes are in a bad shape.
Locals from Loran, Sawjian, Mandi, Surankote, Sathra, Mendhar and other areas said that all claims of Jal Shakti Department are just like castles of sand in air and in real people are facing troubles. They further said that none of the officers in the department is taking responsibility for its failures. They urged the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir to take strict action against the erring officers. |
