| 2-years on, TRC Bijbehara awaits inauguration | | |

Bijbehara, June 13: Tourist Reception Centre at Padshahi Bagh Bijbehara in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district has been awaiting inauguration for the past two years.
According to the locals the foundation stone of this TRC was laid in 2015 and the work was completed in 2020.
“Once this TRC is thrown open it will create employment avenues for the locals and will help in promoting tourism in the area,” said a resident.
Locals said that this TRC will serve as a resting place for the tourists and it would have increased the income of locals in the ongoing tourist season in the Valley.
Residents urged Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to intervene and throw open the building for the people as crores have been spent on its construction. |
