Hindi Navlekhak Shivir concludes at Leh

LEH, June 20: HINDI NAVLEKHAK SHIVIR, a eight days camp organized by Central Hindi Directorate , New Delhi that was going on since last June 13th 2022 at the Deemed University Central Institute of Buddhist Studies, Leh, concluded today.
The concluding function was presided over by the Vice Chancellor of the Institute, Prof. Vaidyanath Labh. In his presidential address he clarified the possibilities of writing Hindi in non-Hindi speaking areas and said that there is immense scope for it in Ladakh region which is linked to employment opportunities as well. He persuaded that much work also needs to be done in the field of translation. He wished all the campers a happy future. On the other hand, the local convener and Hindi department head of the Central Institute of Buddhist Studies, Dr. Rahul Mishra thanked the Central Hindi Directorate for giving an opportunity to the institute to organize Hindi Navlekhak camp. He said that this first event of its kind at Leh has been very useful and meaningful.
Prof. Bharat Bhushan Sharma, Secretary 'Rashtra Bhasha Prachar Samiti Jammu' as a specialist in the camp said that such camps inspire youths for creative writing along with the expansion of Hindi in non-Hindi speaking areas. It also develops cultural co-ordination and goodwill. Sonam Wangchuk, former Head of Department of Hindi as a local expert said that such camps should be organized from time to time in remote areas like Ladakh. Due to this, along with national unity, Hindi expands as a national language. He also requested the Central Hindi Directorate to organize such camps in future also. The camp had also the services of eminent English, Hindi and Dogri writer Rajeshwar Singh 'Raju' and Sanjay Samyal as the experts. Senior Scientist Dr. Mahesh Kumar Gaur, Head of English Department Dr. Dilip Kumar Pattnaik, Senior Program Officer of All India Radio Leh Sonam Wangchuk and Phunchok Dolma as well as Tamajin Lotos from Doordarshan Kendra Leh were among other local scholars who inspired the participants for publicizing and adopting Hindi language for better exposure.
Nathulal , Assistant Director (Extension) of Central Hindi Directorate and in-charge of the camp on this occasion expressed his gratitude to all for a memorable camp. The participants of the camp were also distributed certificates for participation.
