| Major setback to PAGD as President MC Bijbehara loses floor test | | | Early Times Report
Anantnag, June 20: PAGD on Monday received a major setback after President Municipal Committee Bijbehara Majid Nabi Khan lost the floor test.
Floor test was conducted on the directions of Additional District Judge Anantnag. Hon’ble Sub-Judge Mr Mir Wajahat Secretary DLSA Anantnag supervised the floor test at Municipal Committee Office Bijbehara.
0ut of 16 councilors, 14 were present during the floor test among which eight voted against the President Municipal Committee Bijbehara Majid Nabi Khan.
The National Conference and Peoples Democratic Party were supporting the Municipality president and were actively luring councilors.
Majid Nabi Khan is a PDP Leader and said to be close confidant of senior PDP Leader and former Minister Abdul Rehman Veeri.
Meanwhile, Bijbehara Municipality councilors have now also moved a no confidence motion against Vice- President Adv Peerzada Musharaf. |
