Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, June 20: Nehru Yuva Kendra Udhampur, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India today organised Pre Yoga Day activities in different blocks as part of International Day of Yoga 2022 celebrations with the theme "Yoga for Humanity". The volunteers of NYK Udhampur participated enthusiastically at different locations including Town Hall Ramnagar, PDA Hut Dudu, Manwal, Baredian and different iconic locations. In Ramnagar, the yoga was performed by more than 100 youth volunteers under the supervision of National Youth Volunteers Anil Kumar and Bharti Devi. Similarly, in Dudu more than 80 youth volunteers gathered and performed yoga under the supervision of National Youth Volunteers Naresh Kumar and Pooja Devi. Yoga guru Rajnish Kumar made the youth aware about the benefits of performing Yoga and its importance in the present scenario. He focused on its need when the entire world is facing pandemics like COVID19. He added that Yoga and Pranayam aims at boosting immunity and makes us strong to face all health challenges, be it physical or mental. District Youth Officer Khushal Gupta lauded the efforts of the District administration and Department of AYUSH for leading from the front to organise yoga activities in every nook and corner. He appealed and urged all the youth to participate in Yoga day celebrations at Subhash Stadium Udhampur on 21st June 2022. |
