Early Times Report JAMMU, June 20: For every human being, education is important to live an enriched life. Unfortunately, not everyone gets the privilege of good education early from their childhood. Mostly, financial disparities play a crucial role behind it. But, the situation can be improved. There are several ways to educate poor children and bring a positive change in our society. In an attempt to bring this positive change, On 13 Feb, 22, Live For Others - Being Helpful Foundation (NGO) launched a Project - Make All Kids Educated under theme "Mission MAKE" in a slum at Birma Pull, Udhampur by educating less fortunate children free of cost. It's been 4 months and counting that volunteers of LFO-BHF committed in providing basic education and healthcare to underprivileged children. The number of children is getting increased day by day. LFO-BHF is providing free education classes, free stationeries, free eatables among the children. Counselling of these children and their parents are getting done time to time. LFO-BHF focusses on poor child education, believes that whether you are addressing healthcare, poverty, population control, unemployment or human rights, there's no better place to start than in the corridors of education. Education is both the means as well as the end to a better life; means, because it empowers an individual to earn his/her livelihood and the end because it increases one's awareness on a range of issues - from healthcare to appropriate social behavior to understanding one's rights, and in the process evolve as a better citizen. On speaking with Vivek Parihar, CEO and FOUNDER of LFO-BHF said, "Our NGO is commited for education for underprivileged children who are under difficult circumstances, such as child labour, children of poorest of the parents, street and runaway children, children with rare disabilities, disaster struck children and slum children. Special emphasis is given on girl education and women education, so that they and their families get empowered". On speaking with Rimpi Sharma, Vice President (Jammu Province) of LFO-BHF said, "LFO-BHF's vision is to work as a catalyst in bringing sustainable change in the lives of underprivileged children with a life-cycle approach to development". |
