GDC Thannamandi celebrated International Day of Yoga

JAMMU, June 20: In continuation to the series of events Department of Physical Education and Sports Govt. Degree College Thannamandi in collaboration with NSS unit of the college celebrated 8th International Yoga Day by organizing a webinar on the topic "Practices and Principles for healthy living" under on 20th of June 2022.
The webinar was organized under the patronage of Principal of the college Dr. Nahim-un-Nisa who was also the chief guest of the event, during her inaugural address, she said that yoga has always been an integral part of Indian culture. It is one of the best forms of physical, mental and spiritual practices. The program was started with the welcome address by Dr. Mohd Ibrahim, Physical Director of the college. He said that yoga helps us to keep our mind healthy and stress free. Yoga rejuvenates our mind and body by instilling new energy in us. Prof. Ajaz Nazir (Convener Sports) and Prof. Muhammad Shoket NSS Programme Officer coordinated the programme. Mr. Lalit Madan (Yoga Guru & Therapist at MDNIY, Delhi) was the main speaker of the event.
