REASI, June 23: Sajra Qadir, Vice Chairperson, District Development Council, Reasi has demanded immediate rescue operations in recent flash floods that hit mostly hilly areas of Reasi District. In a press statement, she said that the recent heavy rains have destroyed properties, foot bridges, vehicular bridges, roads, houses in the Reasi district. She also shared that I have received numerous complaints especially from village Ban, Kousarnaag, Lapri, Dewal Marg, Mangnaad, Pathriyaan, Purj Gali, Nikkan, Zajimarg & other adjoining Dhoks & residential areas of the District for the immediate support. She demanded that the District Administration Reasi must immediately provide appropriate & genuine compensation to the victims who have been suffered in the recent floods. District Reasi is a hilly district & administration must organise camps in every Panchayat or Village in which District/ Tehsil officers should be deployed where they can listen to the grievances of the folks. |
