Over nine months passed no progress in T S Wazir’s murder case | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 23: Over nine months have passed after the sensational and high-profile murder of prominent transport and former MLC of National Conference Trilochan Singh Wazir but there is no further progress in the case. Excepting picking up persons for questioning, no further action has been taken by Delhi Police in the murder of the prominent Sikh leader of Jammu and Kashmir. The Crime Branch of Delhi Police had detained some accused from Jammu for questioning because, on the day of the crime, their electronic location was shown to be at the place of crime. According to Delhi Police, four persons were present during the incident on September 3, 2021 where Wazir was shot dead. As per reports Trilochan Singh Wazir was given sedatives with water. As the former law-maker fell unconscious after drinking water, which was mixed with sedatives, one accused allegedly shot him dead. The body was later thrown in the washroom. Initial investigation revealed that the main motive of the accused was to kidnap Wazir and demand ransom from his family, but they decided to eliminate him after they found that he had transferred all his money to his family in Canada The decomposed body of 67-year-old Trilochan Singh Wazir was found on September 9, 2021 in the washroom of the flat in the Basai Darapur area. His head was wrapped in plastic. Police said that Wazir had come to Delhi on September 2 and had been living with two persons who are still absconding. Deceased Wazir had to board a flight on September 3 which he couldn’t.” The Delhi Police has registered a case of murder in connection with the mysterious death of Wazir. Police stated that Wazir’s body was found in a decomposed state, adding that the cause of his death is not yet confirmed. Wazir’s family alleged that he was killed due to political rivalry. Tarlochan Singh Wazir was a prominent leader from Jammu and he regularly raised issues faced by the Sikh community. As president of the J&K motor transporters’ association, he also fought for their rights. |
