| People decry for fulfillment of Sattelite Channel demand in Dogri: TMF | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 12: Team Mask Force chairman Vijay Sharma appealed to MOS in PM office Dr.Jitender Singh to fulfill long awaited demand raised by Jammuites long ago but without any outcome. It raised eyebrows on Government approach for Kashmir centric approach and doing away with sentiments of Jammuites added Sharma in a press release here this evening. Col.Pathania who happened to have an opportunity to attend book release function of 'KOHAM authored by Santosh Sangra in Dogri Sanstha bhawan in Karan Nagar. Observed that Dogri Sanstha Sanghthan,since its inception in 1944,has been doing a great job in promotion of Dogra art and culture.Dogri which is one of the 22 national languages was included in 8th schedule of constitution and government has been mandated to develop and promote dogri language added Col.Pathania . However,when nation is celebrating Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, people of Jammu region have been denied a 24/7,dogri satellite channel. In Jammu Doordarshan,which is defunct at the moment it is urged to honourable Lt governor,union government and Dogri Sanstha Sanghthan to come forward and meet the aspirations and demand of a satellite channel,so essential for promotion of all aspects of Dogra art and culture. Sharma also urged political parties and various NGO,s and social organisation to raise this extremely important issue, without any delay. |
