Lashkar commander’s family hoists Tiranga at Doda home | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 12: In line with the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, the family members of Khubaib, a commander in the Lashkar-e-Taiba terror outfit, have hoisted the national flag at their residence in Jammu and Kashmir showing their love and respect for the nation and hatred for the Pakistan sponsored terrorism. Khubaib’s family living in Doda district was among the first to hoist tricolor at their residence as a part of the Aazadi Ka Amrut Mahotsava much in line with the appeal of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the people. Lashkar commander Khubaib had sneaked into Pakistan years ago and joined the terror outfit never to return. His family back home including his father took the lead to go ahead with the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign only to condemn the path of violence their son has chosen. The family members personally hoisted Tiranga at their homes taking a lead in the area. The family said they condemn the path of terror as taken up by their son or others in J&K. “We stand with our country and the tricolor and the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign as launched by our honorable Prime Minister,” the family said. The family said terror or terror activities should be given no space in Jammu and Kashmir “and that everyone needs to understand that we’re Indians.” Since the abrogation of the so called special status of Jammu and Kashmir on August 5 , 2019, the people of the Union Territory have been able to express their love for the nation like never before. The bold move as taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has brought a sea change in the situation especially in Kashmir which used to be the hotbed of separatist sentiment till some three years ago. Unlike the past, however, the people from the majority community in the UT have been taking lead in programs of national integration. The Har Ghar Tiranga, on the other hand, has been a major success across the nation. Within a short span of ten days, India Post has sold more than 1 crore national flags, through its 1.5 lakh post offices as well as online, informed the Ministry of Communications on August 11. The nation is set to celebrate its 75th Independence Day on August 15. |
