DC Jammu reviews progress of works under District Capex Budget, Developmental Deliverables

JAMMU, Aug 26: Deputy Commissioner Avny Lavasa today reviewed the progress of works under District Capex Budget 2022-23 including UT, DDC, BDC, PRI components and status of developmental deliverables in the district.
At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner took a detailed department wise review of the works.
The concerned officers informed the Chair that against 4055 approved works (207 works are under UT component, 274 under BDC, 309 under DDC and 3223 are under PRI component), estimates of 3798 have been prepared and 3123 have been tendered.
It was further apprised that under UT component, out of 207 works, 196 have tendered and 159 have been allotted, while against 3223 PRI component works, estimates of 3049 have been prepared and tenders of 2545 works have already been floated.
Similarly, under the DDC component, out of 309 works, estimates of 289 have been prepared and 216 have been tendered. Under the BDC component, out of 274 works, estimates of 205 have been prepared and 196 have been tendered which shows more than 90% progress.
After taking the work wise review, the DC stressed on the concerned authorities to take all possible measures to accelerate the pace for their time-bound completion.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the officers to ensure speedy allotment, execution and completion of each work.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner chaired a meeting of officers from various departments to review the progress and achievements under developmental deliverables. The officers and heads of departments informed the chair about the progress made and targets realized.
The DC directed the officers to prioritize implementation of developmental deliverables to achieve the targets on time with tangible results on the ground.
CPO Yoginder Katoch, besides the officers from different departments including Health, Education, Jal Shakti, Agriculture, Horticulture, Labour, Employment, Industries, Handloom etc were present in the meeting.
