Dr Nirmal reviews functioning of BJP cells

JAMMU, Sept 6: Dr Nirmal Singh, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister today conducted a meeting of Convener and Co Conveners of Border Welfare, Ex-Servicemen and Village Defence Committee Cells of the Party to review their functioning here today. It is pertinent to mention here that Dr Nirmal Singh is the Prabhari of these three Cells and today's meeting was attended by State Convener Ex-Servicemen Cell, Col Gurbaksh Singh; Convener Border Cell, Brijeshwar Rana; Convener VDC Cell, Basant Thakur and Co-Conveners Col Satnam Singh, Col Sharma, Col Roshan Lal and Jai Singh.
The meeting commenced with the welcome address by Rakesh Mahajan, Incharge, All Cells BJP J&K who briefed Dr Nirmal Singh about the working of these Cells being carried out by the dedicated team members. This was followed by a detailed discussion between Dr Nirmal Singh and those attending the meeting on Party's future programmes.
While addressing the Convenors and Co-Convenors on the occasion Dr Nirmal Singh highlighted the significance of the Cells in BJP's hierarchy cadre. He said that Cells are proactive connections between the party and the people falling under respective Cells and are the backbone of the party. As such the Cell Convenors, Co-Convenors and other office bearers have a very crucial role to play by addressing the issues of the respective sections of the society and further strengthening the party at every level.
Dr Singh stressed upon the Convenors and Co-Conveners to ensure that the benefits of schemes launched by the Modi government reach the sections of the society covered under the aforesaid three cells at the grassroots level. He informed them that soon a programme will be organized at Ramgarh border in district Samba as part of the ongoing Pakhwada celebrations of PM Modi's birthday in which Veer Naris, Gallantry awardees and other IB youth beneficiaries will be felicitated.
While concluding his address Dr Nirmal Singh said that as Prabhari of these Cells, he would be available 24X7 to the Cells' office bearers so that all these Cells provide the best service to the targeted population besides catalyzing better functioning. He said that this would undoubtedly facilitate the achieving of the aims and objectives of these cells and ensure that the benefits of Centrally sponsored schemes reach one and all.
