Technology as weapon against poverty | | | India has changed under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. It’s using technology as a weapon in the war against poverty. The country’s youth have ensured tech, talent and globalisation. India’s technology and innovation have already made an impact in the world as the youth have emerged as leaders in every field. Since the day Narendra Modi has taken over the reins of the country, he has laid emphasis on channelizing the energies of youth in a positive way. He has ensured that opportunities are provided to youngsters to build their lives and careers and chase their dreams. In a video message to the Bengaluru Tech Summit, PM Modi said: “India is no more a place known for red tape. It is known for red carpet for investors. Whether it is FDI reforms, or liberalization of drone rules, or steps in the semiconductor sector, or the production incentive schemes in various sectors, or the rise of ease of doing business.” There is no doubt about the fact that during the past few years the business has grown in India and investors are coming forward to invest in the country. The mantra of “Make in India” is working and is producing the desired results. India’s youth have become a force to reckon with and are spread across the globe. They have proven their mettle through their intelligence and hard work across the world. International investors are choosing India as a place to invest. India is becoming a favorite investment destination as the facilities being provided to investors are best in the world. In 2015, India was ranked 81. The number of unicorn start-ups in India has doubled since 2021. India now is the 3rd largest start-up hub in the world. India has over 81,000 recognized startups. There are hundreds of international companies that have R&D centers in India. This is due to India’s talent pool. When Modi took over as the Prime Minister of the country in 2014, he had promised the people that he would change the very concept of governance and would strive for empowerment of every section of the society. He has kept up his commitment and has worked hard to implement the spirit of “ease of doing business.” |
