Jammu, Nov 17: A former Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) was axed to death while two others including a woman sustained serious injuries when they were attacked by a man in Khour area of Akhnoor here in the city outskirts. “Three persons were attacked by a man with sharp edged weapon this afternoon in village Narayana of Khour,” police said. They said in an attack, retired ZEO, Babu Ram died on reaching CHC Khour while two others namely, Sita Devi and Vineet Kumar, were referred to the Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu. “The accused identified as Ashok Kumar, has been taken into custody while cause of attack is being ascertained and the matter is under investigation,” said police. |
