Jammu, Jan 5: Indian Army on Thursday conducted a tree plantation and cleanliness drive at Panchayat Malpur of Jammu district. The event was aimed at spreading awareness about planting trees and maintaining cleanliness in our surroundings. Pawan Singh Sarpanch Panchayat Malpur, Rahul Mahajan SHO Police Station Kana Chack, Satya Paul Khajuria Principal Oriental School, Senior Citizens of Panchayat, local youth and school children were especially involved in the event to make them connect with their surroundings and become long-term stakeholders in its preservation. The participants expressed gratitude to the Army and resolved to carry the message of afforestation and cleanliness to their respective communities, while continuously striving to maintain the region clean and green. Those who were present during the drive are Naib Sarpanch Ajay, Retd Naib Sub Kuldeep, Ashwani Raja, Rajesh Kumar, Ram lal sharma, Mohan lal, Rohit Kumar, Sahil, Parveen, Shubham Khajuria, Pratibha Singh, Aditi Singh, Pallavi Singh, Shweta along with college and school students etc. The Sarpanch and locals appreciated the efforts of the Army and pledged to work together for a safe and better Akhnoor. |
