Rajouri attack: Terrorists may have sneaked back to Pak terror camp
1/5/2023 11:12:07 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, Jan 5: Even as the deadly terror strikes in Rajauri left at least half a dozen persons including two kids dead and six others wounded, the terrorists believed to be foreigners, may have sneaked back into Pakistan on the same fateful night after carrying out the dastardly attack.
Sources said the intelligence agencies have inputs that the terrorists, who are believed to have been two in number, and were donning army fatigues, could have reached back to the terror masters across the border in the cover of darkness.
On the fateful evening, two terrorists had appeared in the village in the border district opening fire after the checking the identity cards of the villagers.
The terrorist duo had subsequently run into nearby forest area where from they are believed to have rushed back to the enemy country the same night as despite subsequent searches in the area, they couldn’t be traced out.
Highly placed sources said given the intelligence inputs of the apprehended terrorist movement, night curfew has been put in place along the Jammu frontiers.
Its pertinent to mention that the Rajauri-Poonch area has become the victim of Pakistani aggression through “infiltration bids more frequently than before.” “What has been seen is that more infiltration bids are taking place along the Jammu frontiers as the topography is favorable for such sinister designs but our forces will foil all such designs,” said a senior official on the condition of anonymity.
Recently as many as four terrorists were shot dead by the police in Sidhra area on the Jammu outskirts when the truck they were traveling in was intercepted.
The terrorists, believed to have infiltrated from Jammu borders, were presumed to be headed for Kashmir but the alert security forces foiled their nefarious designs.
Sources said the intelligence agencies are working on a plan to expose the terrorists who were behind the Rajouri tragedy.
A senior police official said whereas it as not sure if the terrorists have managed to get back to their terror camps along the Pakistani side of the border, the security forces would not only expose them but give them a befitting reply.
